Lots of promise not lived up to. The experience died when ordering and went down from there. The lad taking our order did not know the menus and his english skills were so poor he couldn’t understand our questions about menu. We probably ordered less as a result. Our pint of beer was pulled so there was no head. The wait was long with no offer of a drink top up. We along with others in the restaurant seemed to wait along time for our meal. We waited 30 minutes or more. After the wait the food. Cold soggy fries. I had to ask for a replacement. Burger bun stale, $50 steak was ordinary. Coleslaw just lacklustre. The meat was cooked okay, but it seemed a bit cold. Maybe I should’ve expected that since it was a thick piece of meat. The nice marble looking steaks in the window were not reflected with what hit the plate. I’ve had way more tender beef from Aldi. I have long look forward to trying Macelleria as it looks so good. Our expensive treat was a let down. So if you’re treating yourself, I would not recommend my Marcelleria. You’ll probably get a better meal a lot cheaper at the pub a few doors up.
